Our fighting men and women deserve the best we as a people can offer them for their sacrifices on the altar of our liberty and freedom. Media attention has highlighted some of the most grievous abuses being heaped on our veterans by our government, but the recent remedies, including a tiny VA clinic in District 11 do not go far enough. Jeff Takada specifically proposes:
- Creating a tax credit for employers hiring veterans
- Making sure the VA provides safe, comprehensive, and affordable care to all veterans, including those who had health care removed after retirement
- A system which does not deny necessary medical treatments to vets, regardless of age
- Ensuring that vets will no longer have to sacrifice any of their retirement pay to receive VA disability benefits
This can only be done by cutting government waste and mismanagement, a task that Jeff Takada dedicates himself to with the health, happiness, and well-being of our soldiers, sailors, and airmen, God bless them, in mind.
